Editorial Policy

Editorial Policy

This page describes how articles on VIPTV.best are planned, written, checked, reviewed and corrected. It exists so that a reader can judge the reliability of what they are reading, and so that anyone can hold us to a standard.

The pipeline

Every article follows the same sequence. No stage is skipped, and no article is published without passing through all of them:

  • Research — the question is defined, and primary sources are located before writing starts.
  • Draft — written from the sources located, never from memory.
  • Human review — an editor reads it against the editorial standards below.
  • Fact check — every factual claim and every number is checked against the cited source.
  • SEO review — title, description, slug, headings and internal links, without altering meaning.
  • Image review — every image is checked for licence and relevance.
  • Internal-link review — the article is linked to its cornerstone guide and to related articles, and is itself reachable.
  • Final approval — a named publisher approves the article for release.
  • Publish — a deliberate, manual action.

Automated assistance

Automated tools may assist with outlining, structure, formatting and drafting. They are never the source of a fact.

  • No statistic, figure, quotation, standard number, case outcome or technical claim is accepted from an automated tool.
  • Every such claim must be traced to a primary document that a human has opened and read.
  • Any article substantially drafted with automated assistance is reviewed by a human before publication.
  • Automated tools never publish. Publication is always a manual human action.

Sourcing standards

We prefer the highest available quality of source, in this order:

  • Standards and primary specifications — RFC Editor, ISO/IEC, ITU-T, 3GPP, ETSI, DVB, EBU, IEEE.
  • Official legal records — court decisions, legislation databases, regulator publications.
  • Institutional research — Europol, EUIPO, national regulators, peer-reviewed academic work.
  • Vendor primary material — datasheets, product documentation, published release notes.
  • Reputable trade press, for context only, and always attributed.

Every article carries a sources section. If a claim cannot be traced to a source we have actually read, it is removed. Where no public figure exists, the article says so rather than estimating.

Independence

Editorial decisions are not made on behalf of, or in the interests of, any advertiser, sponsor, supplier or service. No one outside the editorial team can pay to change a conclusion, remove a criticism, or adjust a review. Sponsorship, if it ever happens, will be labelled on the article and in a public disclosure, and will not buy influence over content.

Corrections

Corrections are made openly. Substantive corrections are logged on the corrections log, and errors that changed a conclusion are also noted at the top of the article. Full process on the Corrections Policy page.

Authors

[PLACEHOLDER — CONFIRM BEFORE LAUNCH] Named author and reviewer profiles have not yet been supplied. Until real people are added, articles carry a role-based byline rather than an invented name, and no author credentials are asserted anywhere on this site. This page will be updated when the editorial team is confirmed.

Review cycle

  • Cornerstone guides are re-reviewed every 12 months.
  • Articles are re-reviewed every 18 months.
  • Standards references are re-checked on a fixed schedule, because standards change.
  • Any article that has passed its review date without review is flagged internally for attention.
