VIPTV.best currently runs no advertising and no affiliate links. This page describes what would happen if that changes, so that the difference between an advertisement and an editorial statement is never in doubt.
The current position
There are no adverts on this site, no affiliate relationships, and no sponsored content. Nothing on any page is placed because a company pays for it, because none pay.
Where a page links to an application or a service, it is because we judge it relevant and have verified the link, not because of any commercial arrangement. Our player directory is written on that basis.
If advertising is introduced
- Advertising will be visually separated from editorial content, and will never be presented in a way that could be mistaken for our own statement.
- Adverts will be labelled as adverts.
- Adverts will not be placed inside an article’s explanatory content, and will not interrupt a procedure or a sequence of instructions.
- Adverts will not be placed on pages where the subject is legal, safety or security guidance, where a reader could reasonably take an advert as advice.
Sponsored and affiliate content
Sponsored content would be disclosed at the point it appears, not only in a footer. Editorial decisions are not available to advertisers: a sponsor does not choose which articles are written, what they conclude, or whether a criticism is published. If a paid arrangement caused an article to say something we believe to be untrue, we would refuse the arrangement.
Affiliate relationships would be disclosed on the page where the link appears, including when a link does not currently earn anything. We would not accept an affiliate link to a service we would not otherwise recommend, and we would not accept payment to remove a criticism.
What we would not accept
- Advertising for unauthorised streaming services, or for any service we could not verify.
- Advertising that implies affiliation with VIPTV.best where none exists.
- Anything misrepresenting a technical claim in exchange for payment.
- Advertisements styled to be mistaken for site navigation, warnings or system messages.
- Advertisements for software distributed only through unofficial download channels.
Independence
Our editorial standards are set out in the editorial policy. The short version: advertising would never determine what we publish, and any commercial relationship would be disclosed on the page where it applies.
